![]() I mean, Paramount must have made so much money off of product placement that they almost didn't need to sell movie tickets, and GM is only the beginning. 165 minutes of getting beat over the head with robots, cool motor vehicles, explosions, spacecraft big enough to hold oceans of scrap metal, building collapses, gunfire, rocket engines, jet fighters always in afterburner for some reason, more explosions, a cute chick in Daisy Dukes, assorted MMA beatdowns, lots more explosions, and oh Lord product placement. Way too much is not nearly enough for Michael Bay. My review: I liked it plenty but I guarantee not everybody will, especially smart people. For that matter, you won't go more than a few minutes without seeing Chevy bowties or Cadillac shields. Also there's a non-transforming Sonic RS rally car near the beginning. All you need to know is that the green/black C7 with a wing is Autobot Crosshairs (of course Corvettes have to be good guys), voiced by John DiMaggio, who among many other roles is Bender on Futurama.Ĭrosshairs in C7 form gets significant screen time, but has a lot of competition from Autobots Bumblebee/Camaro '67 restomod/Camaro Concept, Optimus Prime/Western Star 5700, Drift/Bugatti Vitesse, and Hound/Oshkosh Defense Medium Tactical Vehicle, plus Decepticons Lockdown/Lamborghini Aventador (when he's a robot, the Lamborghini shield is very visible in two halves), Stinger/Pagani Huayra, and Galvatron/Freightliner Argosy Concept. Saw it today at matinee price in 2D format, which was just as well because 3D would have given me a sensory overload headache and temporary blindness, and IMAX would have caused an epileptic seizure, and I don't even have epilepsy.
